CHOKING HAZARDS:
*No items are to be put in mouths. This will be reinforced to the children.
*If Eating, this is to be done in an orderly manner- no running/ playing at this time.
*Close supervision given at ‘eating times’.
*Appropriate action to be taken in the event of a choking incident, as per first aid standards.
*In the event of ‘significant loss of colour’ or ‘unconsciousness’ , emergency ambulance will be immediately called to assist.
*In the meantime appropriate first aid will be given. Reassurance and support will be given to person throughout.
*Records will be made of incident and communicated to parents at earliest time.
