COMMUNITY – CONNECTION – CONFIDENCE BUILDING – CREATIVITY
MandyMakes Summer Camps for 2022 take place at the MandyMakes Beach Hut Studio in Ballyholme, Bangor and are specifically designed for children aged 5-12yrs.
Each day is a new “Creative Experience” based on a varied range of topics from, “What a Wonderful World” to “Why is the sea Blue?” using many materials from paint to paper, clay to textiles and everything inbetween. There will be opportunities to gain REWARDS for positive behaviours and attitudes such as kindness and teamwork.
Daily Classes will include activities that encourage and support children holistically. More than ever we can appreciate the importance of physical, mental and emotional health and the Creative Arts is a means of doing this. At MandyMakes we FOCUS on tasks, LEARN new skills, CELEBRATE ourselves for who we are and our natural world. We practice and appreciate GRATITUDE, PHYSICAL ACTIVITY at the local beach and park. MandyMakes provides time and a safe space for young people to express themselves, discuss their issues or worries to positively provide them with tools for more positive futures.
From a broader perspective, MandyMakes Art and Craft classes enable children and young people a means of self-expression and provides freedom to experiment as well as create. Important LIFESKILLS such as listening, problem solving and teamwork are developed through these classes and all sessions are adapted to be AGE and ABILITY appropriate.
The Grown-ups of Mini-Makers are warmly invited to attend our “end of camp” GRADUATION CEREMONY – a chance to see what your kids have been doing, have a cuppa, meet like minded people and share in your child’s experience and achievements.
All staff are qualified and ACCESS NI checked.
